Keynote Speaker: JOHN O’NEILL
U.S.
Navy, Vietnam
Author of the No. 1 Best seller
“Unfit for Command”
John E. O’Neill served in the
Coastal Division 11 in Vietnam
and took command of PCF 94, John
Kerry’s Swift Boat, after
Kerry’s departure. Outraged by
Kerry’s anti-war slanders
against his fellow veterans,
O’Neill faced Kerry in a famous
debate on the
Dick Cavett Show in
1971, refuting Kerry’s
accusations of rampant American
war crimes in Vietnam. A
graduate of the U. S. Naval
Academy, and from a Navy family,
O’Neill is a lawyer in private
practice in Houston, Texas
Find out why John Kerry is
“Unfit for Command”
as told by the men who served
with him.
President's Corner
The presidential race is
entering its final days. This
election will determine our
nation’s destiny for the next 50
years.
Senator Kerry repeatedly
claims that he can make America
safer than President Bush has
made us. The Kerry Doctrine
would downgrade the War on
Terror to a “nuisance” while
outsourcing our country’s
security to other countries as
well as the U.N.
Let’s look at who is really
supporting John Kerry. On
October 18, Yassar Arafat in
connection with the Palestinian
Authority made his first open
statement endorsing Kerry and
calling on international leaders
to do the same! Radical Muslim
mullahs around the world are
urging American Muslims to vote
for Senator Kerry. By contrast,
our military overwhelmingly
supports President Bush’s
re-election by a 3 to 1 margin.
If we are not on the
offensive in the War on Terror,
then we are losing. History has
repeatedly proven that efforts
at trying to contain rather than
destroy evil have failed. When
President Reagan first took
office, he understood that the
containment strategy no longer
worked. The Soviets were
expanding around the world and
building up their military.
Reagan realized we could win or
lose. Despite outcries from the
establishment, he won. As we
look at the current presidential
election, the Kerry Democrats
lean toward trying to contain
evil while Bush Republicans lean
toward destroying evil. Both
alternatives involve real
costs. Kerry’s approach might
save more U.S. military lives in
the short run. However, such as
a policy puts many more civilian
and military lives at risk in
the long run.
President Bush believes the
U.S. can help spread freedom and
liberty around the world. We
need only look to the recent
elections that occurred on
October 9 in Afghanistan. For
the first time ever, free
elections were held in that
country, and women were actually
able to vote! Afghanis turned
out early in the morning, well
before the polls opened and
waited up to 4 hours to cast
their ballot. In more
mountainous areas, others walked
through more than a foot of
snow. As syndicated columnist
Cal Thomas noted, “No power on
earth is greater than a mind and
soul reawakened.” That is
precisely what the terrorists
fear.
May God bless our troops, our
President, and our nation.
Sincerely,
Felicity

CCRWC sponsored a hole at the
American Cancer Society Annual
Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament to
fight against Breast Cancer.
Susan Roberts organized
the volunteers from the CCRWC
membership to work the golf
tournament. The life-size poster
of President George W. Bush was
a big hit. We had a table with
candidate material for
Bush/Cheney, Johnny Isakson,
Steve Tumlin, and Bobby Baker.
It was a great day! Thanks to
all the volunteers that came out
that day and to Susan Roberts
for getting volunteers and to
the candidates for supplying
us with campaign materials.
East Cobber Parade Committee
Susan Roberts, Chairman
The East Cobber Parade was held
on Saturday, September 18th.
The convertible was decorated
with patriotic bunting and Bush
and Isakson signs. The George
Bush cutout stood in the car,
exciting every one on the parade
route. We attracted more
attention being behind the
bussed in Kerry/Edwards people
who heckled the crowd.
Approximately 1000 Bush/Cheney
bumper stickers were
distributed. All day our
volunteers signed up people for
yard signs and sold Bush
t-shirts.
Thanks to Randall and Suzanne
Hickman, Martha, Richard and
Tyler Dearmon, Mike Roberts,
Rosan and Jim Hall, Donna Rowe,
Marisol Lacayo, and Lady Liberty
herself, Millie Rogers.
