President's Corner
.
It is hard to
believe, but the
presidential election is
less than two months
away! The election has
enormous consequences
for our country—most
importantly the security
of our nation.
September 11 marked
the third anniversary of
the terrorist attacks on
the U.S. I hope
everyone paused to
remember those who lost
their lives and to
reflect on the tragic
events of that day.
Could this happen
again? Absolutely.
We listened with
horror to the reports of
the recent slaughter
that occurred at the
school in the Russian
town of Beslan. While
some in the media
referred to the Islamic
extremists as “Chechen
captors,” they are
terrorists. Like the
September 11 attacks,
the butchery in Russia
was a crime against
humanity.
Was any war more
necessary than the War
on Terror? John Kerry
continues to rail
against the War in Iraq.
Over the years, his
voting record has
consistently failed to
support our military.
How many of us are
willing to place our
national security in the
hands of someone who
would wage a “more
thoughtful and sensitive
war on terror”? There
has never been a more
critical time when our
nation, indeed the
world, needed a strong,
decisive leader such as
President Bush.
CCRWC Past
President & Board
member, Donna Rowe,
recently lost her
brother, Bruce. He had
been awaiting a kidney
transplant for several
years. This serves as a
harsh reminder for all
of us to become organ
donors. It truly may
save someone’s life.
Our thoughts and prayers
are with Donna and her
family.
May God continue to
bless our troops, our
nation, and our
President.
Sincerely, Felicity
