Dear CCRWC:
My name is Doug Reineke and I am the new regional director in Cobb County for the Georgia Republican Party. I am extremely excited about the upcoming elections in November and the chance to get to work with the Republican Women of Cobb County. As I am sure you know, we have a great deal of work to do from now until the general elections and I am hoping that your organization will be able to aid the party on the road to victory.
We have some extremely high expectations for Cobb County this year and I know with your help we will be able to reach our mark and then some. We are going to be setting up mobile phone banks starting July 19th going through to November 7th. We at the party would be greatly appreciative if the CCRWC could commit to one night a week during this time period to make calls on behalf of the GA GOP. We will need to fill about 25 spots for this phone bank for 3-4 hours in the evening. We have cell phones for the phone bank so it can be arranged at different persons house each week or whatever would work best for you. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to working with you.

FLAGS TO FLY ON 9-11
Field of Flags at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
MARIETTA, GA - In 2003, the Marietta Kiwanis flew more than 3000 flags at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park to memorialize the lives lost during the attacks on September 11, 2001.
This year marks the five-year anniversary of the tragedy and once again the Marietta Kiwanis, in cooperation with the National Park Service at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, will present the 3000-plus Field of Flags for a three-day period, starting September 9th and ending with a ceremony the evening of September 11.
In 2003, the Field of Flags was featured on Good Morning America, CNN, and our local TV stations. Thousands flocked to see the flags, walk among them and to begin the healing process.
As in 2003, the commemorative flags are being sold for a minimum donation of $10 per flag with proceeds going to the Marietta Kiwanis Foundation. The Kiwanians will be at the Annual Fourth of July festival on the Marietta Square to take pre-sale orders with the pick up date of Sept. 12 and 13, 2006.
Be sure to look for the Kiwanis booth on the Square to pre-order your flag. The form and additional information on the Field of Flags is on the Kiwanis web page at www.kiwanismarietta.org
