President’s Corner
Wow, we had quite the primary elections, didn’t we? With
so many divisive races and we still have the Aug 8
runoff coming up! My hope would be that all of us would
regroup and join forces to defeat the Democrats in the
upcoming General Elections. On primary election night, I
heard many volunteers for the losing candidates say they
would not vote for the primary winner in November. This
is due to the hard fought and sometimes bitter tone of
the campaigns. I understand the high emotions of hurt
and anger when our candidate doesn’t come out on top,
but I would hope we would all remember we all have the
same goal in mind……. ….to help as many Republican
candidates to win as possible in the November election.
With so much going on in the world, we need strong
leadership in all areas of our government from our
School Boards to our Senators. Right now Governor Perdue
is ahead in the polls with a strong record to back him.
But, as we have heard, Mark Taylor is a strong political
foe and we need to stay ahead of the game. I want to
reiterate to you, as I have in a previous letter, to
please volunteer, contact Perdue4Cobb@comcast.net. I
realize we all lead busy lives, but if we don’t continue
to press for our conservative candidates, we will be
helping a far weaker party gain power, and who knows
where that will lead us in the fight against terrorism.
I believe, as others have stated, we are in the midst of
World War III, so, let’s remain strong, focused, and
resolute by keeping our Republicans in office. We can
help with this endeavor by volunteering or donating to
our candidates; because unfortunately, it’s a very time
consuming and expensive venture running for any
political office.
I have included in this newsletter several opportunities
for you to help and ways to feel a part of the process.
Remember to vote on August 8. Men and women are fighting
for your right everyday; the least we can do is to honor
those who sacrifice for that right by making our own
commitment where we can here at home!

Time to start planning for Cobb GOP at the NORTH GA STATE FAIR!
With just a little coordination, this will be a fun time for all
involved. Because this is an election year, we'll get good
candidate participation, lots of hand-out goodies, and plenty of
opportunity to reach our community and raise the profile of the
Cobb GOP!

here to see a copy of the calendar
w/ 2-hour time slots. Please respond to
RDAHKoncerak@yahoo.com
with time(s) that you can fill in tending our booth.
Refreshments will be provided, and volunteers get free admission
to the fair on the date(s) they serve!
I
look forward to seeing you there!
