Scholarship Fund
CCRWC
Executive Board has just approved a $1000 scholarship for a
rising college freshman or sophomore who has worked hard for
the GOP and its candidates. Funds will be disbursed at the
discretion of the scholarship committee and within the
limits of funds available.
Applications are currently available and must be turned in
by November 15, 2006, to any member of the Executive Board
of the CCRWC. Students applying must have a GPA of 2.5 or
better and must have a letter of recommendation from a
counselor or teacher at the school they are presently
attending.
In
addition to other criteria stated on the
application,
students must turn in a 500-word essay describing career
goals in their chosen field. See application for additional

Woman
of the Year Award
The
Woman of the Year Award was established in 1964 to honor Lee
Ague, the founder of the Cobb County Republican Women's Club.
This award was created to honor the woman who has made the
most outstanding contribution to the Republican Party through
her work in this organization and the party. Nominees for
the Woman of the Year are selected by the Board of Directors
and voted on by the membership at large. The award is presented
annually at the CCRWC June meeting.
Mary
Aven Award
The
Mary Aven Award is presented to a member selected by the Board
of Directors. This award is for the member who best exemplifies
the Republican philosophy through long, faithful and unquestionable
service to both the club and the party. The award is presented
annually at the CCRWC June meeting.
Trumpet
Award
The
Trumpet Award is presented to a member who has held elected
office. The elected official choosen has best exemplified
the Republican philosophy by strong leadership in their official
capacity. This official has also had support for the CCRWC
and oustanding service to the citizens of Cobb County.
